How did this kid get on a flight?

The little girl had never been on a plane before and wanted to know what it was like, Russian state media reports.

AN 11-YEAR-OLD girl has left Russian authorities puzzled after she snuck unaccompanied onto a commercial flight from Moscow to St Petersburg — and no one noticed.

The child didn’t have a boarding pass or identification when she slipped through security checkpoints at Moscow’s Vnukovo International Airport and boarded the Rossiya Airlines flight on Monday.

The young traveller did it because she had never flown before and wanted to know what it was like, state broadcaster RT reports.

She reportedly attached herself to a large family who was boarding the plane and staff assumed the girl was with them.

On the plane, the girl told the a flight attendant she was travelling alone but was not asked to present travel documents, and was left to continue the 90-minute flight to St Petersburg’s Pulkovo airport.

Surveillance cameras reportedly captured the girl arrive at the airport with a woman and child, who then walked away, leaving the girl alone in the terminal.

The girl then got a phone call from her frantic parents who wanted to know why she wasn’t at school.

After she came clean about her sneaky cross-country adventure, the girl’s parents contacted airport staff, who handed her over to social workers so she could be taken back to Moscow.

RT reported that the girl was known by school teachers for having a wild imagination and tendency to exaggerate the truth.

Her parents could now face a fine for negligence.

But bigger questions are being asked about security procedures at Vnukovo airport and Rossiya Airlines, which are now being investigated by authorities.

But she’s not the first determined youngster to slip unnoticed and solo onto a flight, Home Alone 2-style.

In 2013, a nine-year-old boy in the United States flew from Minneapolis to Las Vegas without a ticket after sneaking through three levels of security at Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport.

The boy, who was described by local police as being “more worldly than most nine year olds”, also managed to score himself a free meal at the airport before his free Delta Airlines flight.

Crew became wise to his caper during the flight, and police met him on the runaway upon his arrival in Las Vegas.

Even more incredibly, in 2012, an 11-year-old boy evaded security at Manchester Airport and flew unaccompanied to Rome — without a passport.

The boy had run away from his mother during a shopping trip and made his way to the airport after he found a boarding pass on the floor.

He got through five checks of security and boarded the international flight — drawing the ire of Italian authorities upon his arrival.

“It was easier than my homework, even easier than computer games,” the kid said of his adventure.
